Six Sentence Sunday

This is a tunnel in the Valley of the Kings
and is how I imagine 'my' tunnel in
'Her Only Option'
Today I’m jumping ahead to Chapter 3 of ‘Her Only Option’. Ross has taken Neve into Senhotep’s tomb, but while they are in the tunnel he is excavating, the lights fail. They have a nightmarish return back up to the burial chamber, where the emergency lights are on.

Without warning, her knees turned to jelly, and she caught hold of the wooden handrail to steady herself.

“Are you okay?”

“Just a—a bit jittery now we’ve actually made it back here.”

Ross smiled, seemed about to say something, but then his smile faded. He took a step towards her, put his hands on her arms, and kissed her.

His mouth and tongue were soft to begin with, tenderly exploring her lips so that everything started to melt inside her.

More about their kiss next week!

The latest 5* review on Amazon says: I really enjoyed this - a great blend of strong, believable characters, a compelling storyline, bursting with mystery, intrigue, and romance ... Well researched and beautifully set against the backdrop of the River Nile, with Egypt, both ancient and modern, adding another, absorbing dimension to the book. Would thoroughly recommend - takes you to another world, without leaving home!

Blurb: Neve Dalton loves her job as a tour guide on a River Nile cruise ship as much as she values her independence. She isn’t ready to settle down with her Egyptian boyfriend, despite his repeated proposals and his father’s desire to see him married.
Nor is she ready to meet Ross McAllister, a compelling and fascinating archaeologist. She struggles against her growing attraction to him until she can no longer ignore what her heart is telling her. This is the man who sets her soul on fire.
When she starts receiving cryptic messages, and Ross’s work in the famous Valley of the Kings is threatened, Neve has to make a heart-breaking and life-changing decision which she feels is her only option.
Can they discover whose enmity is forcing them apart before it’s too late?

Her Only Option’ is available from Whiskey Creek Press and from Amazon, as e-book or paperback.
